User-Generated Content (UGC): Messages, forum posts, project proposals, video pitches, and pixel designs submitted to the Platform.
Competition Integrity Data (Proctored Events): For timed and live competitions, we collect video and audio recordings captured via the participant's webcam and microphone to verify identity and monitor for cheating. Cookies: We use cookies and similar tracking technologies to ensure Platform functionality and analyze usage patterns. For full details on the types of cookies we use and how to manage them, please see our dedicated Cookie Policy in Section 5.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use the collected information for the following purposes:
Platform Operation: To provide you with access to the Platform, virtual worlds, competitions, and educational tools.
Competition and Verification: To manage competition entry, process payments, determine winners, and strictly enforce the rules and integrity of proctored events using video and audio data.
Career and Educational Services: To generate unique educational performance profiles and build "resume equity" based on verifiable competition results (Phase 3).
Communication: To send essential service announcements, prize notifications, and marketing communications (where consent is given).
Legal Compliance: To comply with legal obligations, enforce our Terms of Service, and protect against fraudulent activity.
3. How We Share Your Information
We share your information only as described below or with your explicit consent:
With Institutions: We share student performance data (scores, competition participation) with the student's registered school or institution.
Public Display (Winners): For winners and high-ranked participants, we may publicly display Identity Data, score, and associated UGC (e.g., winning project name, avatar) for promotional and social proof purposes.
Service Providers: We share data with trusted third-party vendors who provide services on our behalf, such as payment processing, cloud hosting, and email delivery. These vendors are legally bound to protect your data.
Corporate Partners (Phase 3): Performance data may be shared with pre-approved corporate partners for talent discovery and recruitment purposes, subject to applicable consent mechanisms.
Legal Requirements: We may disclose data if required by law, court order, or governmental regulation.

4.2 Data Retention
We retain personal data only for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes outlined in this policy, including legal or reporting requirements.
Competition Integrity Data (Webcam/Audio): This data is typically retained for a maximum of 90 days following the conclusion and official result declaration of a proctored event, after which it is securely deleted.
Performance Data: Educational and career performance data is retained for the lifespan of your active WorkAdventure account to support "resume equity" features.
