A. Enrollment and Technical Requirements
Dual Enrollment: Students can register via Institutional Bulk Entry (preferred, coordinated by the school) or Individual Entry (if the school is not participating, requiring proof of student ID/enrollment).
Access and Login: Each registered student will receive a unique access code (WorkID and password). This code is the student’s identity throughout the competition.
Proctored Setup (Mandatory):
Device: Only desktop or laptop computers are permitted. Tablets and smartphones are strictly prohibited for competition rounds.
Connectivity: A minimum sustained internet speed of 512 Kbps is required. WorkAdventure is not responsible for disconnections due to unstable personal internet.
Browser: Use the latest version of Google Chrome or Mozilla Firefox. The platform will not support other browsers.
Webcam & Mic: A functioning webcam and microphone are mandatory for the duration of the attempt.
B. Competition Structure and Mechanics
The Quest Map: The Olympiad is divided into four mandatory modules (e.g., Algebra Abyss, Physics Peaks). Each module must be completed sequentially.
Level Progression (Knowledge Gems):
Each module contains multiple quizzes (dungeons) and logic puzzles (mini-quests).
Successfully completing a quiz awards "Knowledge Gems". A minimum threshold of Gems must be collected within the module to unlock the final "Boss Battle".
Quiz Format: All quizzes are Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs).
The Boss Battle: This is the highest-scoring section, consisting of 5 complex, multi-step problem-solving questions or a short case study.
Time Limit: The Boss Battle is strictly timed (e.g., 20 minutes) and the timer begins immediately upon entry. Time used here significantly impacts the ranking tie-breaker.
C. Scoring and How to Win
Point Allocation (Internal):
Basic Quizzes: 5 points per correct answer.
Mini-Quests (Puzzles): 15 points per correct solution.
Boss Battle Questions: 50 points per correct solution.
No negative marking is applied in the Basic Quizzes.
Winning Criteria:
Primary Rank: Determined by the student’s Total Accumulated Points.
Tie-Breaker: If two or more students have the exact same score, the rank is determined by the shortest "Total Completion Time" recorded for all modules (time from first login to final submission). To win, students must focus on accuracy first, then speed.
D. Strict E-Proctoring and Disqualification
Consent and Monitoring: By clicking "Start Test," the student consents to continuous audio, video, and screen recording for the duration of the test.
Immediate Disqualification (Zero Tolerance): The system will automatically terminate the test and disqualify the student for:
Off-Screen Detection: Student's face or upper body leaving the webcam view for more than 10 seconds.
Tab Switching: Navigating away from the primary test window, minimizing the screen, or using shortcuts (Alt+Tab, Cmd+Tab).
External Presence: Detection of any other individual in the video frame (unless pre-approved for primary classes).
Voice/Audio Prompts: Detecting external voices or sounds indicative of communication.
Malpractice: Any use of printed/written materials, mobile phones, or smart devices.
